In this vlog, I’m prepping to host Christmas Eve in our house for the first time, keeping it super casual and cozy—catered food from a local family-owned restaurant (I love supporting a small business on Christmas Eve), cookies, and Charlie Brown Christmas themed bingo. I also take you along for my little pre-host reset: I spent a couple hours cleaning up random things around the house (and yes, this is your reminder to clean your humidifier). I set intentions for a simple tablescape with special placemats, and I’m giving myself permission to not have every single decor piece perfected—maybe next year. With a rare chunk of free time, I start a TJ Maxx cross-stitch kit (I’m determined to become an expert and eventually make a framed “home sweet home” piece for our entryway), pack small biz care packages for Marty and Alex, and lean fully into my ideal Christmas Eve: crafting, cozy vibes, and a little reading if time allows.
