About This Video

In this crochet update I’m sharing what’s been on my hook lately—two cozy makes that feel perfect for movie nights and cooler weather. First up is the Movie Night Cocoon Cardi, a free pattern by Alexandra Tavel. I love a project like this because it’s that “wrap up and keep stitching” kind of comfy, and it’s a great reminder that you don’t have to overcomplicate things to get a wearable you’ll actually reach for. Then I chat about my second Hotel of Bees Shawl (a paid pattern by Christina Hadderingh). I already have a larger fall version, so this time I’m intentionally working it at about half the size because I want more of a scarf feel—something I can grab and go. If you’re thinking about making one too, my biggest takeaway is to plan your finished size up front so the shawl fits your wardrobe and your climate. I also point you to my Ravelry projects page where I keep all my pattern details and notes, because that’s where I track everything as I go.
