In this Pine Notes update, I’m checking in for mid-September with a nature, camping, and hiking chat—because Pine Notes has always been rooted in the outdoors. As we roll into those first days of fall, I’m sharing a little of the “why” behind my name too: my first love for about 30 years has been making photo greeting cards—Pine “Notes,” as in note cards—and that love of layers, texture, and creativity naturally grew into all my other crafty pages like knitting and crochet. I also give a quick snapshot of who I am as a maker: a continental knitter, a crocheter who got absolutely hooked, and a lifelong crafter who’s been embroidering and cross-stitching on and off since I was seven. Nature, photography, birds, and a cozy handmade life all weave into what I share. I’ll be back soon with a yarn update for my fiber friends, but for this one my biggest takeaway is simple: take care of yourself, and if you can, get outside and go for a hike this autumn—let nature refill your creative cup.
