About This Video

In this tutorial I walk you through my Pine Tree Inline Granny Square from start to finish, including how I chose my colors and yarn and how the “pine tree” motif is built right into the square. I start with a quick intro and show the exact color placement I’m using today, because with an inline design the order of your shades really matters. Then we get into the stitching itself—step by step—so you can see how the square grows and how the tree shape becomes crisp as the rounds stack up. After we’ve worked through the main construction, I speed things up while you stitch along and I keep the pattern visible so you can stay oriented without losing your place. I finish with the little details that make the square look polished and ready to join into a bigger project. If you’d like the pattern in a printable format, I do have a PDF available that includes a color chart/graph, and I share where to grab it on Ravelry or Etsy (plus I mention the short-time discount code for Ravelry).
