About This Video

In this video I’m taking a look at PoseMyArt (Post My Art), a browser-based tool that lets you pose 3D characters and export clean, consistent references for your game art. I show the real developer use cases I actually care about: planning sprite animations frame-by-frame, keeping anatomy consistent across poses, and getting a clear preview of how an animation might look before you start drawing on a blank canvas. I also talk about why this is a big deal when you work with artists. Instead of sending vague descriptions like “make it walk like X,” you can export precise pose references and say: follow this anatomy and these gestures. That speeds up delivery and reduces misunderstandings—especially for monsters, cutscenes/loading screens, or even card games where pose variations matter a lot. Then I jump into the workflow: pick a pre-made scene, search poses/animations (clap, kick, etc.), scrub animations frame-by-frame, and export an image. I also show how you can use that exported pose as a strict reference for AI image generation. Finally, I demonstrate importing an exported OBJ scene into Godot, plus how props and hand poses help you set up more believable reference shots fast.
