About This Video

In this video I show you my full “empty project → playable game” workflow in Godot using Ziva (the CADot plugin). The important part is: it’s not like the AI does everything on its own. We ideate the game together, refine the idea until it’s 100% defined (camera, pacing, weapons, vibe, etc.), and only then I tell it to build it. I start with a free model to plan, then switch to a higher-performing model for implementation, and I also recommend enabling Agent Mode so you don’t get interrupted by constant permission prompts. What makes Ziva different from just using GPT/Gemini/Claude in a browser is the Godot-native integration. It can actually create proper scenes, nodes, scripts, resources, and UI as real Godot objects—so you don’t end up with one giant “game controller” script spawning everything via code. After Ziva generates the 2D shooter (movement, enemies, HP, waves, pistol + sniper with different fire rates/damage), I iterate like a normal developer: I resize sprites/collisions, fix texture filtering (nearest), adjust UI layout directly in the scene tree, and then I use Ziva again to fix missing gameplay logic (enemies not damaging the player). I also show why this doesn’t replace Godot devs: you still need to guide it through edge cases (weapon sprites, rotation, scaling, flipping). The upside is the code is clean enough that I can jump in and patch things myself fast.
