Hey everyone! Since the Wooting 80HE is finally in people's hands, I thought it would be helpful to showcase a sound test of some of the most popular Hall Effect switches so you can find the perfect match for your preferred sound and feel! In this video, we’ll be testing: Lekker Switches (V2) Black Knight Switches TTC King of Magnetic Switch Gateron OG Jades Gateron Jade Pros Gateron Jade Max Geon RAW HE Stem Wobble Comparison: The V2 Lekker switches have tighter tolerances but still a bit wobbly in my opinion. Black Knights have a box stem but are also somewhat wobbly. The TTCs have almost no horizontal wobble, but vertical wobble is similar to the Lekkers and Black Knights. OG Jades show almost no vertical wobble and a bit of horizontal wobble. Gateron Jade Pros have a small amount of both horizontal and vertical wobble. Gateron Jade Max has almost no vertical wobble and just a tiny bit of horizontal wobble. The Geon RAW HE overall has the least stem wobble, with a bit of vertical but almost no horizontal wobble. RGB Compatibility: When it comes to handling RGB in both South and North-facing directions, the Gateron Jade Max stands out as the clear winner — the installation direction doesn't seem to matter much. Factory Lube Comparison: Lekker Switches: Rails are lubed, and there’s a small amount of lube at the bottom of the spring. Black Knights: Only the rails are lubed, with the spring appearing dry. TTC Magnetos: Only the bottom of the spring is lubed, and the rest is completely dry. Gateron OG Jade: Rails are lubed, but the spring is dry. Gateron Jade Pros & Jade Max: Both are fully lubed at every contact point (all around the Stem + Rails) including the stem pole. Geon RAW HE: A bit of lube on the rails, with most on the stem pole. My Personal Favorites: I really enjoy the Gateron Jade Pros and Geon RAWs, but I also appreciate the deeper clack of the Gateron Jade Max. The Black Knight switches and Lekkers feel good, but they tend to have a “dead” sound typical of Hall Effect switches, however if you don't care about sound these will be totally fine. As for the TTC Magnetos, I’d rank them in the middle—they feel better than the Lekkers and Black Knights, but the plasticky sound isn’t for me. Drop a comment if you have any questions, and enjoy the sound test! 🧡 Remember to SUBSCRIBE 🧡 PRODUCTS MENTIONED --------------------------------------------------- Wooting 80HE : https://wooting.io/wooting-80he I got the Module with the PCR Plastic Frost Case. About This Video

Yo what’s going on guys — since the Wooting 80HE is finally getting into people’s hands, I wanted to do a quick but actually useful sound comparison of the most popular Hall Effect switches. In this video I’m basically trying to help you match the switch to the sound you want, because with HE boards the “typical hall effect sound” is real, and some switches just hit way cleaner than others. I run through Lekker V2s, Black Knights, TTC Magnetos, OG Jades, Jade Pros, Jade Max, and Geon RAW HE so you can hear the differences back-to-back. I also call out the stuff that matters beyond sound: stem wobble, factory lube, and even RGB compatibility. In my testing, Geon RAW HE ends up with the least overall wobble, and Jade Max is the clear winner for RGB (north or south facing doesn’t really matter). For factory lube, the Jade Pros and Jade Max are the most “done for you” since they’re lubed at basically every contact point, while a lot of the others are more partial or straight up dry in spots. My personal favorites are still the Gateron Jade Pros and the Geon RAWs. I also really like the deeper clack you get from the Jade Max. Lekkers and Black Knights feel good, but to me they can sound kinda dead, and TTC Magnetos sit in the middle — better feel than those two, but I’m not a fan of the plasticky sound.
