In this video I take a proper look at the Zowie ZA13-DW, which is basically Zowie’s classic ZA shape finally going wireless. I go through what you get in the box (mouse, standard receiver, the upgraded 4,000 Hz receiver, USB-C cable, and two extra sets of PTFE skates) and why I actually really like the upgraded receiver: it’s not just for higher polling, it also doubles as a charging station, which keeps the setup clean and makes topping up the battery super easy. Then I break down the feel and performance. The mouse is 65 g with a 3395 sensor and that typical Zowie “no software, just plug-and-play” approach where you change DPI, debounce and polling on the mouse. Build quality is rock solid and the coating feels premium, but it can be a fingerprint magnet and get a bit sticky if your hands run warm. The main clicks are fine for tactical shooters, but they have noticeable pre-travel and don’t feel as crisp/spammable as more modern options. Shape-wise, it’s narrow with a tall rear hump—straight up a claw grip mouse—and it shines when your palm has at least some contact with that hump. My takeaway: the ZA13-DW is dependable, controlled, and classic Zowie—just wireless now. But if you want lighter weight and sharper clicks with a more modern feel, I’d look at the Lamzu Inca first since it’s basically the same vibe shape-wise.
