About This Video

In this video I’m checking out the KBDFANS Holy80 case, made specifically for the Wooting 80HE, and honestly it’s one of the most visually unique cases you can put on this board. In the box you get a full kit: top and bottom aluminum case, the included PC plate (other layouts sold separately), rubber feet, screwdriver, JST cable, plus silicone bumpers, screws, standoffs, and two different silicone diffuser strips. The finish feels super smooth, the cutouts are precise, and at around 665g (without switches/keycaps) it’s relatively light for an aluminum case. Build-wise, it’s not a “throw it together in 10 minutes” type of case. You’ll need to disassemble your Wooting module, swap to the included PC plate, move over your daughterboard (since it’s not included), stack the standoffs/silicone layers, choose a diffuser, and then close it up. If it’s your first build, take your time and follow KBDFANS’ guide. For feel and sound: the isolated top mount is softer than I expected and, for me, more comfortable than the stock Wooting gasket approach. The case is very open, so it won’t push deep, resonant acoustics, but it still sounds clean and balanced. RGB depends heavily on your color/switch choices—my all-black build is subtle, but a lighter case with translucent switches can look way more dramatic.
