About This Video

If you’re in the market for a new custom keyboard—especially a 75%—this video is basically me saying: look no further. I tested the Neo75 CU (the “CU” being copper), and the copper is a huge part of why this board feels so premium. It shows up in the weight, the bottom case, and that removable copper badge up top. Price-wise, you’re looking at around $225 with the copper bottom, and there’s a cheaper version around $190, which I genuinely think is a solid deal for what you’re getting. I go through the kit details and why the PCB choices matter: no RGB, no flex cuts, magnetic connectors, layout support (ANSI/ISO, stepped caps, multiple spacebar sizes), and the included Neo stabilizers that honestly turned out pretty solid. Then I compare mounting styles—gasket sleeve (softer, livelier) versus bottom mount (stiff and dull, not my thing)—and plate options, where PP is still my favorite and what I used here. Sound-wise, this board really doesn’t require foam, and that’s a big reason I like it. It’s consistent, full, and lively with a spacebar that pops, and if you’re chasing a clacky profile, the Neo75 CU is absolutely in that lane. Design is also top-tier for the Neo lineup, and overall it’s easily my first pick in a market that’s crowded with 75% boards that only come alive once you stuff them with foam.
