About This Video

In this video I dive into the NuPhy Field75 HE, a 75% hall effect gaming keyboard with Rapid Trigger, an 8,000Hz polling rate, and a 2,000Hz scan rate. It’s loaded with extra controls—three knobs, eight remappable buttons, exploded arrows/F-keys, and even a handle—and it’s genuinely the first board that made me set my modded Wooting 60HE aside. I walk through the unboxing, the two switch options (Magnetic Whites vs Magnetic Jades), and why the design is both futuristic and actually usable, even if the little printed slogans are slightly corny. I also cover build quality and typing feel: it’s ABS, but it feels smooth and premium, and the thick doubleshot PBT caps plus a generously lubed stab setup make the stock experience really solid. The tray mount is stiff (which I personally like for gaming), and the spacebar has a dampener that keeps things quiet while still bouncing back nicely. Modding access is limited because there are no visible screws, but NuPhy claims there’s plenty of foam and a silicone dampener inside, and the stock sound is already pleasant. Finally, I go over NuPhy’s web-based software (NuPhyIO), profile switching, actuation/rapid trigger tuning down to tiny increments, and the current limitations like no macros yet and no per-key RGB. In-game performance is flawless and super responsive—basically on par with Wooting, and technically faster on paper—plus the extra keys are insanely convenient for gaming (and could be even better if macro support lands).
