Today’s video is a very real “Monday after spring break” clean with me—because the house needed some serious cleaning. The kids were still home, and I had about half an hour before we had to leave for school, so I started with a quick kitchen reset: unloading the dishwasher, clearing the table, and just trying to make one room feel put together. Of course, it’s also one of those mornings where I’m cleaning while helping everyone get out the door (including helping Aaron brush his teeth because he gets so distracted—even though he just turned eight). After drop-off, I ran for groceries and did my little prep routine that makes healthy snacks actually happen: washing grapes and cutting up celery so they’re ready to grab. Then it was straight into my Monday reality—so much laundry—and I decided to knock out bathrooms too, including the laundry room bathroom, the kids’ bathroom (they got a weekend chore break), and my master bath. I spent forever scrubbing the glass shower door and had that reminder that if I did it weekly, it wouldn’t be such a pain. I finished up with entryway and living room resets, vacuuming the main level (go me), and then tackled the crumb situation under the kitchen table before folding grown-up laundry with John Oliver. By noon, I was officially done and ready for lunch.
