I’m sharing my April 2026 Book of the Month picks, because the second we got home from the store my BOTM box was sitting on the front porch and I was way too excited not to open it right away. I grabbed two books this month, and this is one of those unboxings where I’m basically just gushing and telling you why each pick sounds so good before I even crack them open. My first pick is “Yesteryear” by Caro Claire Burke, and I’m genuinely so looking forward to it. It’s about a tradwife influencer who wakes up in the 1800s and has to live on an actual farm homestead instead of just pretending online—and I cannot wait for the social commentary. My second pick is “This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me” by Ilona Andrews (a husband-and-wife writing duo), and it sounds like the main girl is somehow stuck in a fantasy kingdom from a series she really enjoys, where she knows everything about the world and has to figure things out from there.
