This week in the BrickLink store I kicked things off early on a Sunday and we were creeping up on a couple of big milestones: hovering around that 50,000 item mark, sitting about 72,000 lots, and pushing toward 500 total orders. I take you around the store, show how we’re organising minifigures (including the Dungeons & Dragons ones that have been flying), and run through a few orders to show how “small” orders can still be high value when you’ve got the right parts in stock. The main topic is simple: why we sell LEGO on BrickLink. For us it’s about funding the hobby and doing it as a family, not hiding in a room while everyone else is out living life. I introduce the real star of the show (Mini Brick Exchange), because sorting, building, and hanging out together is genuinely the best part of this whole thing. I also share the nuts-and-bolts of what’s been helping us hit our highest-ever monthly sales: a repeatable used-bulk workflow (categories → part type → colour sort → count → upload), regular “little” uploads, and a few small efficiency tips like using stamp tweezers for annoying tiny parts and a BrickStore double-click trick I can’t believe I didn’t know earlier. To finish, I run through how I scout deals in NZ (and who I avoid), using BrickLink’s price/part-out guides to decide if a clearance set is actually worth it.
