We’re back with another vlog after a bit of a break, and this one’s a special one. I kick things off in the store with our biggest ever BrickOwl order—over 3,000 parts in a single order—and the very real problem of not having a box big enough to fit it. I also share a classic “don’t do what I did” moment: I created a BrickLink/BrickStore file, put everything away, and then forgot to upload it… which meant I had to go hunting through containers because I couldn’t remember where half of it went. The takeaway is simple: have a process, save regularly, and don’t rely on your memory. From there, we catch up with Richie from The Yellow Brick Road in Wellington, then we shut the store and head to Australia to visit Noah at The BrickShed. We get stuck into minifigure sorting, talk through the real-world decision of parting minifigs out vs completing them (markets vs BrickLink, time vs value), and I pick up a few handy BrickStore uploading tips—like not needing to hold parts in front of the camera while it’s “loading.” Back home, we rip into a $100 Marketplace bulk lot, pull out some genuinely spicy value (including a Killer Croc torso), and send the leftover 12kg off to our sorter. Bulk buying still wins—if you’ve got the systems to back it up.
