About This Video

This week I’m up in sunny Hawke’s Bay and I’m taking you behind the door of New Zealand’s newest BrickLink store. I’m a Wellington-based BrickLink/BrickOwl seller, and in this vlog I’m basically doing a first walk-through of a fresh setup: organisers going up on the wall, bulk boxes everywhere, sealed sets sitting alongside used lots, minifig parts, instructions, and all the random “what even is this?” pieces you always find when you’re building inventory from bulk. It’s also a bit of a reality check on space—because when you’ve got a garage-sized area to work with, you start dreaming about shelves, pick flow, and not having to cram everything into a tiny corner like we do. While we’re digging through tubs, I share how I think about “part it out or sell it as-is,” especially when sets are missing pieces, stickered parts are everywhere, or the lot is super bulky. I also talk through practical stuff new sellers don’t always plan for: location codes (and what happens when you scale), dust getting into drawers, and the headache of sorting in one place while storing/picking in another. We finish with the big starting-a-store takeaway—there’s no magic number of parts—but you absolutely need your postage/packing workflow sorted before orders start hitting.
