About This Video

Welcome into the final vlog of 2024. In this one I’m taking you behind the scenes of what selling LEGO online actually looked like for us this year—orders, hauls, sorting, and a pretty big store layout change. We kick the week off packing one of our biggest minifig orders yet (just under $300), which is exactly the kind of momentum I want heading into 2025. I also talk through how the store has evolved from a tiny lounge setup to taking over half a room, and why tightening up the space (without “expanding” the space) has been the focus. From there it’s all about systems: training a couple of teenagers to help sort bulk into our 16 category containers, parting out the A-Frame Cabin (plant pieces and reddish brown were calling my name), and building new shelving so packaging, outgoing orders, and upload cups actually have a home. I also hit a weird BrickLink issue—an item sold with no location—so I show how I hunted it down and why it’s worth checking your remarks in BrickStore every so often. We finish with another “small” haul that turned into 6kg for $68 NZD, with some absolute jackpot parts (like a Star Wars headpiece worth $14–$17) and a quick recap of the year: 687 total orders (564 BrickLink, 123 BrickOwl), just under 70,000 parts, and over 9,000 lots. Bring on 2025.
