About This Video

Welcome into the first vlog for 2025 — and what a way to kick it off. I’m up in sunny Hawke’s Bay visiting the old man, grabbing a mixed-bag LEGO haul (including some great animal pieces and a standout Scarecrow minifig with a glow-in-the-dark head), then straight back into full work mode in the store. We left the store open while we were away and came home to a stack of BrickLink/BrickOwl orders to pick, pack, and post — plus a few fun ones like trans panels, train track, and some really interesting part usage for a MOC. I also crunch the numbers and realise we’ve just had our biggest week of orders ever: 27 orders in a single week and over $1,000 revenue coming in, which is honestly pretty wild considering we were on holiday. Along the way I talk through a couple of process things that help me stay efficient — like using BrickStore to “raid” my own store properly with negative quantities, tracking pick times on larger orders, and using BrickStore’s “can build” function to spot minifigs I could assemble (because Star Wars figs especially tend to move faster than random parts). To finish it off, I share a couple of store upgrades and what’s coming next: a profitability tracker I’ve built for BrickLink sellers, and a new 3D printing direction for custom storage solutions and little display/insert ideas — because wasted space in drawers drives me absolutely nuts.
