In this week’s vlog I’m giving you a proper behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to keep our BrickLink/BrickOwl store moving here in Wellington, including uploads, orders going out, and the never-ending battle for space (yes… the room was meant to be a guest room). I’m also showing some of the little system upgrades that make a big difference, like consolidating into oversized bins, keeping the bed in “full work mode,” and even sorting out the absolute worst job: sizing and organizing all our Ziploc bags. We also jump into Bricklink Wars Episode Two with a tour of Dad’s Brick Army up in Napier. He walks through his garage setup, his wash-to-sort workflow (including “Mount Doom”), and a minifigure system by theme that I honestly wish I’d done earlier. On top of that, I talk through real reseller problems like cracked minifigure parts, end-of-financial-year admin, and a shipping nightmare with New Zealand Post where a high-value minifigure has gone missing and the follow-up has been painful. The big takeaway this week: good systems keep you sane, but you’ve always got to plan for more space — because if you think you’ve arrived in BrickLink, you’re about to need another shelf.
