This week’s vlog is a proper behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to keep our BrickLink store humming here in Wellington, New Zealand. I take you through the usual chaos in the store—sorting used bulk into our containers, pulling out the gems (like those Sanctum instructions I refused to bulk lot), and juggling a busy run of orders. We had a solid week of sales flying in, and I also show some of the not-so-glamorous admin jobs that make packing faster, like our label setup and how we prep minifigure bags so picking and shipping doesn’t become a time sink. We also head along to the Wellington LEGO Brick Show for a quick look at the builds and to catch up with people (including a really cool waterfall mock that was easily my favourite on the day). On the sorting side, I break down how I sort tiles by type and then by colour, build a BrickStore file, and use remarks to keep the “put-away” step efficient—because putting parts away can be the most tedious bit if you don’t systemise it. And yes, we also talk used bulk reality: one Trade Me bulk lot turned up loaded with non-LEGO and missing baseplates, so I walk through why that’s a problem and what I do about it. Used bulk can be amazing… but it can absolutely bite you as well.
