This week in the BrickLink store I’m back into what I call “proper work” after the school holidays — aiming for about an hour of sorting a day and trying to take advantage of the extra space we’ve got after last week’s sale. I’m sorting used bulk into part-type tubs first (plates, bricks, corners, arches, etc.), then doing the colour sort and upload so the time at the computer is actually worth it. Limited space is always the game, so we’re also clearing more room by listing off-cut bulk and random extras on Marketplace, and making better use of the new desk organisers. The best part of this vlog is the minifigure hunt. I’m digging through bulk to find those “one missing piece” parts — and it absolutely pays off. We finish a stack of figures (including Batman Movie, early Joker, Ninjago, Chima, plus some older high-value bits), and even track down parts for set 6721 (the dinosaur set) and the pterodactyl. We also talk Wanted Lists to cheaply solve the last few gaps, and I show a tool called WhatTheFig that helps turn loose minifig parts into complete minifigs (which usually sell better than parts). It’s a slower week for orders (pretty normal after a sale), but we still manage a solid upload — hundreds of items and plenty of value — plus a cool customer build: a Batmobile made from “junk parts,” including pieces from our store.
