This week’s Bricklink store vlog was a bit of a weird one: we got heaps done in the background, but Bricklink orders basically dried up for a few days. I talk through the goals I set for the week (keeping it simple): upload 5,000 items, do 5 hours of video prep for an “ultimate guide to buying LEGO”, and create 10 Marketplace/Trade Me listings to help diversify sales. We kick things off parting out sets like the Sith Infiltrator, pushing value into the store, and continuing to chew through our used bulk sorting backlog. I also show how we organise our drawers (Kmart/Spotlight style organisers) and why I like a simple two-letters-two-numbers labelling system—it makes picking orders fast when BrickLink splits the order form. Then we hit the big topic: the Bricklink slowdown. After three days with no orders (while BrickOwl kept ticking over), we finally broke the drought with a solid order and I run through what sold. To wrap it up, I share a practical pricing check using BrickStore—sorting by price, sanity-checking a few “spiky” parts, and comparing against Australia/Oceania on BrickLink so we stay competitive here in NZ without obsessing over every single line item.
