This week in the store kicked off with absolute LEGO Star Wars chaos in the best way. I checked our minifig stock after seeing chatter online and realised we had not one, but two of the reddish-brown beard Qui-Gon Jinn variants (sw1334). One of those sold straight away and became our highest ever BrickLink sale, which still feels a bit unreal. It’s a good reminder that you never really know what’s going to pop off in the LEGO world—one mention in the right place and suddenly a “normal” figure turns into a headline item. From there it was classic behind-the-scenes BrickLink life: keeping lots up while total items dipped under 90,000, trying to squeeze in uploads, and prepping hard for a market. I also ran into a frustrating problem—tiny international orders (especially Australia) that just aren’t worth the time—so I’m still working out better minimums in shipping settings. One of the big wins was doing a bulk deal with Damian from BrickTastics to move town/city minifigs and minifig parts that don’t sell well for us, which cleared space and made the next upload way easier. We also hit the jackpot with an op shop haul: classic space, Star Wars bits, baseplates, and a pile of interesting parts (including a few surprising values). And I finish off talking systems—because BrickLink is systems—and show how I use BrickStore filters to quickly find “can build” minifig parts to make complete figs for the market.
