About This Video

This week’s vlog was a good reminder not to “skip recording because it’s school holidays” — because it turned into a massive weekend anyway. We had nine orders going out, a heap of used sorting, and one of those ridiculous little hauls (a $25 tub) that looks more like $300–$400 once you start pulling out minifigs and decent parts. I also finished the Kiwi Brick Exchange sign and tested a LEGO-built QR code that actually scans to our Linktree, which is a pretty cool idea for markets or events. On the store side, we pushed hard on plates to boost our lot count — 1,143 pieces uploaded across 280 lots for $131 value. Plates aren’t the biggest money-maker, but they sell steadily and they keep the store healthy (we’re hovering around 49k pieces and climbing back toward 50k). I also show how I’m using the Rebrickable mat to identify parts faster, and we talk honestly about what selling LEGO in 2024 is like: you’re not uploading every day, picking orders can chew up your time, and that’s fine. The goal is scalable systems — better storage (new drawer units under the desk), smarter consolidating of lots, and patience while the inventory does its thing.
