It’s moving day, people. In this vlog I’m taking you behind the scenes as we expand our BrickLink store into a brand new space here in New Zealand, and what it actually looks like to shift around 50,000 parts and minifigures without everything exploding in the moving truck. I show you one of our latest hauls (around 30kg / 60lb), some vintage instructions, and then we get straight into the reality of moving: packaging tape across drawers, the “squish it in method,” and trying to figure out how to transport organisers without them falling apart. Once we’re in the new room, it’s all about layout, lighting, and workflow. I talk through why desk space is always at a premium, why the light matters for picking colours, and how we’re setting up shelves so picking is basically just turning around. I also give my honest take on organisers we’ve tested (some are great, some are absolutely not), how I label with two-letter codes, and why I’m not wasting hours re-alphabetising everything during a move. We finish off with sorting progress, sales updates, scanning instruction QR codes for Insider points, and a little surprise: we head up to Hawke’s Bay to visit what will be one of NZ’s newest BrickLink stores—my dad setting up his own shop. Big backlog energy, and it honestly made me feel better about ours.
