About This Video

This week I’m back in the BrickLink store in Wellington and we’re doing a proper “back to the basics” reset — reorganising what isn’t working and tightening up how we store and sell LEGO efficiently. I show you our clip system on the organisers (it’s honestly been a game changer), how I work through a BrickStore file in order, and why I’m trying to keep drawers full without doing that annoying “just squish it in” approach that makes picking slower later. The whole focus is maximising the pick path so I spend less time hunting parts and more time uploading, sorting used, and parting out. We also had some solid movement this week: store stats ticking along (689 orders, 83k+ items), a Pick a Brick restock that took forever to arrive, and we cracked into Series 27 minifigs with the scan app to ID them quickly. Of course there’s a haul as well — $100 of bulk plus a set — and yes, the Spider-Man 2099 “bad boy” was hiding in there (about an $80 fig), alongside some other decent hits like Scarecrow and Sandman. The big project though was minifigure organisation for markets: baseplates, price bands, theme grouping, and a simple remark system (M1A/M1B etc). It took way longer than I expected, but now we’ve got ~350 figs laid out and it’s going to make markets and picking orders way easier — even if five baseplates wasn’t quite enough.
