About This Video

This week’s vlog is a bit of a takeover — I wanted to slow down, stick the camera on, and have a proper BrickLink conversation about what selling LEGO online actually looks like. We’ve been flat out with Christmas orders (all the red, white, and green parts are flying), grabbed a few Black Friday bargains (including D&D minifigures for around $3 each), and I opened up some discounted sets like 40725 Cherry Blossoms. When I’m buying sets to part out, I’m not just looking at “part out value” — I’m checking what’s still in stock, what I’ve already sold, and whether it’ll actually turn around quickly in my store. The main chat this week is for anyone thinking “this looks fun and easy, I’ll start a BrickLink store.” It can be fun, but there’s a lot you don’t see: sorting, uploading, packing, post shop runs on lunch breaks — and the time adds up fast. I also walk through how I identify and quality-check minifigures (cracks in arms/torso are the big one), what goes into our reject piles, and how we still recover value by selling B-grade minifig tubs. To wrap up, I share where the store’s tracking at using BrickFreedom (63 orders this month, +10,000 parts and +500 lots), plus why efficiency and workflow matter if you ever want to push towards “full-time.”
