About This Video

This week in the store was a big one — we hit 100,000 parts on BrickLink, and honestly it felt like it was about time. I walk you through a bunch of the behind-the-scenes stuff that actually gets you to a milestone like that: hauling, pulling out the good minifig parts, building BrickStore files, and tracking what we upload (both lots/parts and value). Early on we had a really solid upload sitting on the desk — $157.57 NZD from just what was in front of me — and it was one of those reminders that good animal parts and the right minifig bits can ramp value up fast. I also share some of the systems we’re using to keep the space workable, because this is still a guest room and I’m trying not to live in chaos. We’re sorting minifig parts in batches (legs/heads/torso/hair), topping up builder figs for markets (without throwing “too ridiculous” value into them), and creating bulk tubs for our sorters to smash through. Along the way I still made a rookie mistake (splitting the same 2x6 plates across three uploads), which is a good reminder that BrickLink is basically constant tweaking — you never really “arrive.” By the end of the week we’d uploaded about $1,320 NZD and just over 4.5k parts, finishing on 12,275 items and 10,658 lots. The whole point now is simple: upload, upload, upload… and let the variety drive the sales.
