In this video I finally tried Qatar Airways Business Class QSuites (on the Boeing 777) for the first time, flying Auckland to Doha on a very long 16–17 hour sector. I’d flown Qatar before in economy, so I wanted to film my first impressions properly: the customer service, how private the suite feels (I was in 1A, rear-facing, with three windows!), and all the little details that make QSuites feel genuinely premium. I walk you through what you actually get onboard, from the Diptyque amenity kits (I was very happy with the “little spritz” situation) to the massive screen, the huge tray table, and the seat controls (including a massage function). Food-wise, I pre-ordered in advance because I’m a bit particular, and I share honest thoughts on everything I ate: the smoked salmon amuse-bouche, creamy cauliflower soup (with a smoky kick), the grilled beef tenderloin (tasty, but more well-done than I’d choose), and of course the chocolate fondant which was completely up my street. I also test the service properly by ringing for snacks mid-flight (they came in seconds), show you the business class bathroom setup, and chat about sleeping in the fully made-up bed with the mattress topper and blankets. Overall: super attentive crew, loads of space (even for me at 5'2), and a really comfortable long-haul experience.
