In this video I’m taking you with me for a very real (and very soggy) day trip to Stamford in the UK. I had a couple of appointments, but honestly I picked a terrible day for it—absolute chucking it down, freezing cold, and I ended up completely drenched with my UGG boots basically acting like sponges. Even so, Stamford is still one of those cute English towns I really love, with gorgeous architecture, little alleyways, and boutique shops—so I still wanted to show you what I could. The main plan was my private Fairfax & Favor appointment at 1pm. I went in wanting to try a few things from my wish list—bags, a bit of clothing, and maybe footwear—and I talk through what actually feels practical for my life (especially with New Zealand weather) versus what’s just gorgeous but not realistic. I compare sizes, leather vs suede (suede makes me nervous), and I share why seeing bags in person matters because the website doesn’t always do them justice. I also chat about how much I miss antique shopping when I’m back in the UK (it’s just not the same in New Zealand), plus a little practical tip on parking: I used a long-stay car park near the high street which made the day much easier than trying to battle narrow on-street parking.
