I’m in London for today’s video and I decided to pop into Daylesford Organic to see what it’s like as a city farm shop/deli. Before I even go in, I sit outside by their bee-friendly plants and flowers (it genuinely smells amazing—lots of mint) and I really recommend doing the same if you want a bit of peace and quiet in the middle of London. Inside, I have a proper browse through the organic pantry bits, deli counter and fridge sections—muesli, compotes, cheeses, pâtés, meats, yoghurts and the “naughty bits” like tiramisu and chocolate pudding. Daylesford is known for things like their chicken bone broth, but I’m just not a big broth/soup person. I’m also honest about the pricing: some things feel very pricey for what you’re buying (the ketchup nearly took me out), so it’s definitely a “posh deli” experience. Upstairs, I check out the small café and the homeware/candle area. I end up choosing the Herb Garden candle (the 32-hour one) because the value felt better than the tiny one, plus it smells gorgeous—then I grab the rosemary olive oil crackers to have with cheese. And then I make myself leave before I spend way too much money.
