In this video I’m taking you with me to Borough Market in London, right by London Bridge Underground, for a proper little wander and a few picky bits (I went really quite hungry, so it was always going to happen). I hadn’t been for a few months—possibly since Christmas—and I wanted to see what was about this time around, from the classic food stalls to the mini fruit and veg stands. If you love browsing as much as eating, Borough Market is brilliant for that. I start off near the entrance where there’s a really cute spice/herb and smoothie mix shop with loads of freeze-dried fruit powders (blueberry, mango, dragon fruit, raspberry sour cherry… honestly, way too much choice). I also clock the Carolina Reaper and immediately decide that’s a hard no for me— I don’t really do spice, and “handle with care” is not for my lifestyle. I also show you the famous chocolate-covered strawberries spot (always a queue, and yes, I do think it’s quite expensive for what it is). As always, I end up at my usual: Humble Crumble. It’s so much quieter when you come earlier in the week, and I can’t resist—especially when there’s rhubarb on. I also point out a little tea shop (because you know I’m going to), and I share my top tip: check the opening times because it’s closed on Mondays and I’ve been caught out before.
