Hello, welcome to the new house. In this moving vlog, I’m taking you along while Alice and I clean, unpack, and start setting up the spaces that make daily life feel cozy and functional. I brought my microfiber towels, Dawn dish spray, and my Branch Basics all-purpose cleaner (it’s what I use to mop too) because even though we had the carpets cleaned, the floors still needed a good scrub before we started walking back and forth. I also tackled Alice’s bathroom first—fresh paint, a giant mirror, two sinks (so cool), new towels, a new shower curtain, and a plan for organizers so toys are easy to clean up. I also share the real-life side of moving with a toddler: it’s overstimulating, it’s a lot of stopping and starting, and it’s honestly harder than any move I’ve done as an adult. I’m trying to figure out what to organize first (toy room, pantry, kitchen… all the things), while also thinking ahead to bakery events and relearning my baking “groove” in a new kitchen. Then I give you a full house tour—my porch pickup setup for Fresh Meal Bakery, my two little free libraries, a playroom/homeschool room with stations Alice can access, and my kitchen bakery wall with my spiral mixer and plans for a bread oven. And yes, I end it the coziest way possible: sitting on the deck with some peace and a book.
