Cheers everyone and welcome back to the channel. Odi and I headed out for the official first snow camp of the 2025 fall/winter season in Montana, tucked beside a quiet alpine lake. It’s a little late this year (we’re behind on snow compared to last season), but that first fresh layer still changes everything—super peaceful, super quiet, and the snow just dampens the sound in a way I always forget until I’m back out here. You can actually hear the inlet trickling behind the camera, and the whole place just feels still. Since this trip was filmed the day before Thanksgiving, I decided to have some fun and make a mock Thanksgiving camp dinner. Turkey breast was a no-go last minute, so we ran chicken breast instead with freeze-dried mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, gravy, jellied cranberry, and Hawaiian rolls. I cooked everything, then used the Omnia oven as a big “all-in-one” warming dish on the JetBoil Genesis to bring it all back together. We wrapped the night up warm in the Super Pacific with the Truma running, and woke up to a snowy Thanksgiving morning—French press coffee in the JetBoil, Premier Protein (not creamer), and Odi stomping around on the ice.
