In this video, Odi and I venture back out into a new part of the Utah desert that we really haven't explored. We spent a total of 3 nights and discovered some new locations during our time. Each and every time I come back to Utah, I learn more and more about this magical place. About This Video

I spent 72 hours (three nights) out in a part of Utah I really hadn’t explored yet, and it was exactly what I needed—just me and Odi, a whole lot of slickrock, sand, and that quiet desert stillness. This trip was a quick pivot after coming down for my 50-mile race (I was a hurting unit after that), then helping out at Matt’s Off-Road Recovery Games. With a few open days before heading toward Denver, I used OnX to poke around, find new camps, and just learn more about why Utah keeps pulling me back in. Over the three days, I kept it pretty real: simple camp meals (burgers one night, freeze-dried when I rolled in late), coffee the way I felt like making it (Keurig one morning, AeroPress another), and a lot of moving—trail running in soft sand with basically no trail, rinsing off in a cold river, and then driving up to 9,300 feet and hitting snow and aspens like it was a different state. I also camped near Factory Butte for a windy night of astrophotography, then wrapped the trip closer to Moab—where spring break crowds reminded me why I usually try to get farther off the beaten path. Great trip, great footage, and it’s got me even more stoked to come back in May.
