Welcome back to the channel—Odi and I finally got out for a solo fall truck camping night beside a quiet Montana lake, and it was peak season out there. It’s still the last day of September while I’m filming this, but the aspens are already popping at certain elevations and you can see the larches starting to get that yellow tinge. Fall goes fast here, and I’m trying to soak it up before the white stuff shows up. When we rolled into camp, I kicked things off with a treat for Odi (I’m stealing that tradition from AB Camping—Tony’s a legend). Then it was straight into camp mode: fire hot, Dutch oven pizza on deck—the Hunter Classic. I went pepperoni and, yes, pineapple (I know it irritates people… I don’t care, it’s good). I also talked through a few updates without making the whole video about gear—my new drawer/bed setup in the camper is already feeling way more dialed for how I camp, and being able to access drawers from inside is clutch. To wrap the night up, I made hot chocolate with a 50/50 water and whole milk mix (don’t boil milk in a Jetboil… ask me how I know), then fired up the Truma to take the chill off. A little rain rolled through overnight, but the morning was calm, coffee was hot, and Montana did what Montana does.
