About This Video

What’s up, fellow builders? In this video, I’m putting Kaleido Color Works paints (sent over by Gaahleri/Gaahleri) to the test and answering the big question: are these some of the best Gunpla paints for airbrushing? I start with the first impressions—packaging is legit premium with a thick protective case, and the bottles feel solid and easy to handle. Even before spraying, the colors already pop and look vibrant right in the bottle. After that, I focus on the stuff that actually matters when you’re painting kits: consistency, spray performance, and finish. For airbrushing, the paint is right in that sweet spot—not too thick, not too watery—so it sprays smooth without clogging or splattering. Since it’s water-based, there’s no annoying odor, but the finish comes out looking like lacquer: smooth, glossy, clean, and streak-free. My takeaway is simple: it’s beginner friendly, but still feels professional enough for advanced builders—especially if you want colors that really pop on your Gunpla.
