About This Video

In this LightBurn tutorial, I’m showing you two simple ways to wrap text around a circle—because once you know where the buttons are, it’s actually really quick. First up, I type my text with the “A” tool, draw a circle with the ellipse tool, then click and drag to select both. From there, I right-click and choose “Apply Path to Text,” and LightBurn instantly wraps the text around the circle. After that, I walk through the tweaks that make it look right. If your text is sitting through the middle of the circle, you can use Align Y to push it to the inside (top) or outside (bottom). Then, if you’ve got an awkward gap, I show you two different adjustments: Height (which makes the letters bigger) and Horizontal Space (which keeps the letter size but spreads them out). Finally, I show my second method using the little blue dot on the text—click, hold, and drag to form the text into a circle. The best part is you don’t even need an actual circle shape for that method unless you want one for reference.
