In this video tutorial, you will learn how to crop an image in Lightburn software. Lightburn doesn't have a dedicated crop tool - instead it using the Masking tool which in my opinion does a better job. ***MORE LIGHTBURN TUTORIALS HERE*** https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaTLsjmE9kSRupAvdhv_dEbVQmtr8WEqx ***Download the Jeep File here*** https://pixabay.com/vectors/ai-generated-car-vehicle-offroad-8148333/ ************ Go Laser Go Website: https://golasergo.com/

About This Video

In this video I’m going to show you how to “crop” an image in LightBurn—but it’s not the typical crop tool you might be used to in other software. LightBurn does it with a masking technique, and honestly, I actually like it because it gives you a lot of control after the fact. I start with an image on the workspace, then I draw a shape (I use a square, but you can use a circle or whatever you want) around the part of the image I want to keep. From there, the key step is converting that shape to a Tool layer by clicking one of the Tool colors at the bottom. Once it’s a Tool layer, I select both the image and the shape, right-click, and choose “Apply Mask to Image.” If you don’t see that option, it usually means you missed a step—either the layer isn’t a Tool layer or you didn’t select both objects. The best part is you can still move and resize the mask afterward, so you can fine-tune exactly what portion of the photo shows without starting over.
