About This Video

In part 2 of my Creality Falcon 2 (22W) review, I put the machine through real material testing to see how it actually performs when you’re engraving and cutting the stuff we all use. I start with MDF (because I love it—things just seem to come out really well), engraving a coaster in LightBurn and then cutting a super cute 3mm name plate. The cut quality honestly surprised me: it cut beautifully and there were hardly any scorch marks, which makes finishing (paint, patterned paper, vinyl) so much easier. From there I move through a bunch of practical tests: popsicle sticks (and why air assist can literally blow lightweight pieces out of alignment), metal and aluminium plates (including a photo test using LightBurn’s negative option), card stock for paper craft style projects, leather with an outline cut, and finally a slate coaster—because slate is usually hard to mess up and it engraved really nicely. I also walk through features we didn’t cover in part 1, like the triple monitoring safety system, tilt auto-stop, emergency stop button, key lock, offline TF card/G-code use, and the adjustable feet positions. After testing, I can genuinely say this machine has a lot going for it—and it’s now one of our favorite lasers (and we’ve got 10 at this stage).
