In this one I’m basically taking you along for a real “day in the life” in my studio—making glass jar candles, marbled wax melts, packing a few orders, and then jumping back into concrete work (sealing + pouring). I start with the unglamorous stuff: cleaning jars with 99% isopropyl alcohol, labeling, and wicking—plus a very real moment where I didn’t let the alcohol evaporate long enough and my wick sticker didn’t adhere. I show you exactly how I fixed it, and why I’m so picky about 99% (less water = faster evaporation, but you still need that 10–15 minutes unless you manually dry). From there I’m measuring fragrance oils, talking through why I keep them stored dark/cool, and sharing how I think about wicking (different waxes, different wicks, and sometimes even changing the vessel or adding dye can change throw—so test and take notes). Then we make wax melts with my marbling method: two micro droplets of dye, controlling temperature + pour height to get those swirls without clumping dye at the bottom. I also pack orders “box within a box,” and I finish by sealing concrete vessels (inside + optional outside), adding cork feet, and pouring wax into concrete jars—plus my best tip: if you’re using CB-2 in concrete, pour to the top in one go to reduce air bubbles.
