In this video I’m taking you through a real wholesale production day—multiple store orders going out to Georgia, Colorado, San Francisco, and Portage—plus a couple custom/private orders. I show how I prep fragrance oils (including how I make and store custom blends in clean, relabeled bottles), how I line up beakers by scent category to minimize cross-contamination, and how I batch everything to stay sane (warning labels, wick stickers, jars, the whole thing). I also talk wax + wick choices: I bounce between IGI 6006 (HTP series, double-wicked in my Cali jars for my strongest hot throw) and CB-2 (smooth tops, great adhesion, simple process—heat to ~205°F, add fragrance, stir one minute, pour immediately). Then I break down how I actually get into stores. My approach is going in right before peak season (July/early August), bringing 1–2 best sellers, introducing myself, and leaving a candle + a QR code that routes them to my Faire Direct link. I track everything (who I spoke to, what I left) and follow up a couple weeks later—expect about a 10% conversion and don’t take the “no’s” personally. Finally, I show exactly how I pack and ship hundreds of candles with peanuts, paper tape, insurance, and labeled box counts, plus the pricing math I use: cost of goods x2 minimum wholesale, x4 minimum retail.
