Welcome to Episode 1 of my podcast, Talk Faith To Me—where I’m getting back to the basics of faith, for real. I’ve been walking with Christ about 24 years, and I’ve talked to a lot of believers who struggle because they talk more about problems than faith. In this episode I break down why negative talk is complaining, and why complaining is unbelief—because it doesn’t work in the ears of God. We live in a fallen world, bad things happen to good people, and the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. That’s why I go to 1 Peter 5:8-9 and talk about resisting the devil—standing firm against the onslaught. Then I get personal about grief. My father was murdered when I was four, and in July 2024 I lost my best friend of 14 years, Father Norman Fischer, who passed away in his sleep from a heart attack. That loss hit me so hard I ended up in the ER thinking I was having a heart attack—turns out it was grief. But I never blamed God. I lean on scriptures like 1 Thessalonians 4:13—yes, I grieve, but not without hope. And Hebrews 11:6 is the foundation: without faith it’s impossible to please God. Faith doesn’t mean you won’t go through trouble; it means God will strengthen you and bring you out.
