Tonight (March 9th, 2026) I’m at my mom’s house celebrating my niece Aubrey’s 10th birthday, and after cake we go outside while I’m flying my drone. I’m teaching my older niece JD how to fly it, and she does amazing—until the drone gets stuck in the air at the other end of the parking lot. As I’m walking down to fix it, an older white man starts throwing stuff at my drone—paper plates, water, whatever. I get the drone back working, and on my way back I ask him straight up if he was throwing things at it. That’s when it escalates. He starts yelling, goes inside, then comes back out with a gun behind his fence and tells me to come back over there—threatening to shoot me and saying he “lives for this.” I back up, call the police, and multiple officers show up. They find him, cuff him, and a neighbor even confirms he’s pulled a gun on people before—but then they let him go because they say there isn’t enough evidence he had the gun out. My takeaway is simple: real talk, if the roles were reversed, I believe I’d be the one going to jail. This video is me processing that injustice out loud—because faith doesn’t mean I stay silent, and healing doesn’t mean I pretend what happened didn’t happen.
