In this spoken word piece, “God Spoke,” I open with Deuteronomy 28:1–2, because obedience matters. The Word says blessings will come on you and overtake you when you hearken diligently to the voice of the Lord. So I’m not just performing a poem—I’m letting Scripture set the foundation for what I’m about to say and what I want you to hear: God still speaks, and His voice brings direction, correction, and blessing. Then I step into the poem like it’s God talking straight to me, and honestly, it’s my testimony wrapped in ministry. I talk about growing up fatherless, feeling lonesome and hopeless, and even being suicidal—gun at my head—but God stepped in and told death to flee. The takeaway is simple but life-changing: don’t mix delay with denial, don’t walk by what you see, and don’t harden your heart when you hear His voice. If God kept me while I was in the world sinning and living outside His will, I know He can bring you through the fire too—if you’re willing and obedient.
