Let’s have a heart-to-heart, real quick. In this video I’m talking about this trend I keep seeing on social media—people making “deconstructing Christianity” videos, explaining why they left the faith and why they’ve denounced Jesus Christ. A lot of them blame being raised in a religious home or they blame American churches, and I can understand how those experiences can push somebody toward rebellion or disappointment. But I also share my perspective: I wasn’t raised in church—I was raised in the streets—so my encounter with Jesus wasn’t something I was “forced” into. I bring it back to Scripture, specifically 1 Timothy 4:1, because the Bible already told us this would happen: in the last days some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. I explain how the enemy doesn’t usually show up loud and obvious—he plants seeds, builds a case in your mind, and uses pain, unanswered prayers, family wounds, and church hurt to pull you away. My takeaway is simple: don’t fall for the trap. Cast down those imaginations, stay rooted in a real relationship with Jesus, and recognize that a lot of this is people fulfilling prophecy—just don’t let it be you.
