Finally, I take it outside on a long leash, starting in low-distraction areas and gradually increasing difficulty with short 5–10 minute sessions so the dog doesn’t get overwhelmed. Put in a few months of clean foundation work, and your dog listens because they understand and respect the communication—not because you’re forcing or bribing.
