About This Video

If your stubborn breed is barking, jumping, chewing the leash, or pulling like crazy, I want you to pause before you buy another tool or try to “train harder.” In this video I break down a big truth I see over and over: a lot of behavior problems are actually exercise problems. When your dog’s needs aren’t met—especially exercise—you’ll see that pent-up energy turn into trouble, and the nervous system stays in that heightened, reactive state. I show you the link between exercise and behavior, the real benefits of exercise, and how to tailor exercise to your dog’s breed and personality. I use my own dog Annie as an example: when I don’t exercise her, she becomes more reactive and starts doing unusual things like digging, barking at strangers, and “looking for trouble.” But during or after an exercise session, she’s calmer and doesn’t care about people passing by. I also explain why both too little and too much exercise can create stress, and why I prefer a simple order that matches nature: exercise first, then training/socialization, then care (meals) and affection. The goal is calm focus and real control—without harsh tools or endless treats.
