Cover; cook on High for 2 hours, stirring twice. Stir in tomato and green onions, continue cooking until hot. Makes 2 servings. SAUSAGE, POTATOES, & GREEN BEANS (pg 155) 6oz smoked sausage, sliced into pieces on an angle 2 potatoes, cubed 1/4lb fresh green beans 7oz chicken broth 1/2 Tbsp butter salt, pepper, and garlic to taste Place all ingredients in slow cooker, using the salt, pepper, and garlic to taste. Stir. Cover and cook on Low for 4 to 5 hours, or High for 2 to 3 hours. Makes 2 servings. CHICKEN TERIYAKI (pg 171) 2 chicken breasts, diced into 1/2 inch cubes 1/4c brown sugar 2 1/2 Tbsp unsweetened apple juice 2 1/2 Tbsp pineapple juice 2 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce 1 1/2 Tbsp cold water 1 1/2 Tbsp cornstarch cooked rice, for serving Place meat into greased crock. Add rest of ingredients except the water, cornstarch, and cooked rice. Stir to mix well. Heat on High for at least 3 hours, stirring every hour. Before the next step. make sure the chicken is fully cooked. In a small bowl add water and cornstarch. Combine with mixture in crock and stir quickly to mix. Place lid back on and turn the heat to Low. Heat for 30 minutes or until thickened.
