Cut garlic cloves in quarters, then smash them a bit. Place cucumber slices and garlic in a bowl. heat vinegar, water, sugar, salt, dill, red pepper flakes, coriander, and peppercorns in a small saucepan until the sugar and salt are dissolved. Pour over the cucumbers and garlic.
